Battery holder & circuit

Inside the modified fuel tank cavity there is centered and fastened the battery (li-ion cell) holder
Besides securing the batteries into place , this serves as the chassis for mounting the circuitry of the lamp

The electronic circuit of the lamps has undergone many version over the years striving for simplification, ruggedness, miniaturization and performance.
Barou uses overkill for the job components from reputable manufacturers, ensuring Longevity.

Functions of the circuit is:

1) Regulating & Maintaining luminosity

By turning the wick controller potentiometer, luminosity level is  set analogically from few lumens to maximum
Circuit maintains luminosity irrespectively the voltage level of the batteries. Typical efficiency is above 90 %

2) Voltage monitoring

Circuit monitors voltage of the batteries when in use. Low voltage is indicated by red LED going ON

3) Charging regulation

The circuit regulates the ingoing current of the cells being charged. Charging is indicated by red LED going ON

4) Safety & Endurance

Electronic and hard fusing is in place to prevent overloading / short circuit / cell reversal under all conditions
Circuit is designed to survive indefinitely in humid environments, but not in direct exposure to water.
